Musée du Vieux LacauneLocated in the 16th century consular house, this museum takes young and old alike back into the past: the Enfant Sauvage (Wild Child), the Lacaune thermal baths,… 15 rooms in which you will discover costumes and tools retracing the daily life of the Lacaunais and the history of the village from 1700 to 1945. Filature RamondThere are many flocks of “Lacaune” sheep in this medium mountain area, dedicated to breeding. In the past, the wool of these sheep was used in many spinning mills. On the occasion of a visit, an enthusiast will operate, in front of you, a whole set of pulleys, belts, cards and spinning machines dating from the 19th century, but still in working order. Musée des battages et des anciens tracteursThis museum space presents 120 tractors, dating from 1921 to 1960s, including a series of Lanz, notably the 55, and SFVs, including the 551. The collection also includes steam machines from 1907 and 1914, threshing machines with a threshing press that is unique in Europe, and a motorcycle binder mower that worked on sloping fields. NagesMaison de PayracSituated in an exceptional natural site, this former 19th century farmhouse is a living testimony to the rural mountain habitat. Les Tours du château de NagesWalk up the steps of the majestif staircase of the Count of Thézan’s castle, to reach two beautiful rooms and a round tower. Le Presbytère de TastavyThis bulding presents the Catholic religious heritage of yesterday and today, in the area of the Monts de Lacaune: family piety, the main stages in the life of a Christian, the course of the liturgical year (Christmas, Easter, …), the reconstruction of a sacristy, … and many objects of worship.
